5. Data Handling & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
All client data is stored at rest exclusively on Canadian servers in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia. During automated processing, data may briefly transit through third-party automation platforms before arriving at Canadian storage.
Access logs uploaded to ProofLedger receive a cryptographic hash signature providing tamper-evident protection. The archival system is configured as write-once, read-only during the active retention period.
6. Service Availability
ProofLedger strives to maintain continuous availability of the Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. ProofLedger shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the website design, text, graphics, logos, and software — are the exclusive property of ProofLedger and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party cloud infrastructure providers for data storage, processing, and payment handling. ProofLedger is not responsible for the availability, security, or performance of third-party services, though we maintain reasonable safeguards and industry-standard redundancy measures.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProofLedger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to ProofLedger in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
ProofLedger archives data exactly as received from the client's access control system. We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the underlying data and shall not be held liable for decisions made based on archived logs.
